ECFS Community Enjoys the Paul Taylor Dance Company Together
ECFS was excited to share the opportunity for the community to gather and enjoy the Paul Taylor Dance Company for two special performances at Lincoln Center!
400 parents/guardians, faculty/staff, grandparents, friends, and students of all ages enjoyed this fun cultural and community-building event.
After the first performance on Sunday 11/5, Executive Director John Tomlinson and Julie Adams ’60 greeted the group and shared insights around the show and the Paul Taylor Dance Company. At the second performance on Sunday 11/12, attendees met Carolyn Adams ’61, the director of the educational program at Paul Taylor. She shared her experiences as a professional dancer and her memories from when she was a student at ECFS.
“It was an incredible experience for our community to meet Carolyn,” says Interim Alumni Director Lauren Servidio. “She is an inspiration, and her dedication to dance shines through her work.”
Marjorie Jean-Paul, Chief Advancement Officer, said, “I was so impressed with the number of families who took part in this opportunity. Community events like this bring us together to enjoy an experience together and get to know our extended ECFS family while taking in a wonderful show.” ECFS has a long history of appreciating the arts, and this event was a perfect complement to the love for music and dance that students of all ages learn at the School!
