Fieldston Upper Students Venture Out to Bond and Explore
This spring, Fieldston Upper students spent time off campus during exciting and educational field trips.
9th Grade students traveled to Camp Mariah in Fishkill, New York. โThe purpose of this trip was for students to come together as a class and bond with both their classmates and the 9th Grade advisors in a fun retreat away from our usual surroundings,โ says Nikki Buccello, 9th Grade Dean. Students enjoyed a variety of team-building activities and a BBQ lunch.
10th Grade students traveled to Ellis Island. "Because of COVID-19, we haven't had many opportunities to come together as a class for fun," says Stephanie Harris, 10th Grade Dean. "We were really happy to have our first full-form outing on a trip to Ellis Island." The trip, which was both entertaining and educational, was planned in partnership with the history and English departments. 10th Graders participated in a scavenger hunt around the museum then ate lunch on the grounds of Ellis Island.
